Location: Rhinelander | Lund Pro Matt Pikka and his partner Kenny Wegner Won the first team circuit based walleye event they have ever fished. Matt comes from the competitive Muskie angling world, and Kenny the bass world. They did OK today for a couple of 'rough fish' anglers.
The Team fished several spots, and settled in on a trolling run in open water where they spotted several loons diving and rising, obviously on the feed. The "eEyes were there....just under the baitfish. They boated 4 fish weighing 18.61, and captured the big fish award for the event, trolling Berkley Flickershads and Shad Raps in bright colors. The last fish they put in the Frabill showed up on the Lowrance Structure Scan, and Matt went back after it and got the bite AND netted the fish that won it for the Team.
There were very few limits and quite a few zeros today. Jodar and Johnson too second a couple pounds back, Kasper and Schmidt took third, Slabe and Busse fourth, and Bain and Arbeiter rounded out the top five. MWS Leaderboard
