| With grieving hearts, his family and TFM Promotions wish to notify his friends and acquaintances that Jim Coon passed away Sunday, May 26th.
Jim was a strong advocate of sport fishing and conservation and he will be missed by many. His passion for the outdoors was matched by the delight he took in developing and cultivating relationships with the people that shared his passions.
Honoring Jim and the standards he set, TFM Promotions will continue to maintain the Midwest Walleye Series and the other quality events that Jim established and coordinated.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Wichmann Funeral Homes. (http://www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com/obituary)

| Jim was a great guy. Always had a smile and a hand shake for me. I always got a kick of the "fuss" he made when Sunshine would dump a perch into the tank at weigh in.
Jim will be missed. RIP and our thoughts are with your family and friends. | |

Jim worked at Sysco Foods for many years and was currently president of TFM Promotions, Ltd. and Tournament Director of the Midwest Walleye Series and other fishing events. The time he spent with his family was always special and those times will always be treasured.

Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jean, and their three children; Jenny (Robert) Massey, of Kimberly, Jackie (Adam) Piette, of the Town of Buchanan, and John Coon, of Grand Chute. He was also a loving and devoted grandfather of four grandchildren; Lindsey and Abby Massey, Ella and Natalie Piette. He is further survived by four siblings; Tom (Kathy) Coon of Appleton, Ted Coon of Appleton, Vicki (Ken) Kroiss of Kaukauna, and Diny (Jeff) Heindel of Kaukauna, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Leo Smudde, Tom (Marilyn) Smudde, Rose Mary Francis (Norman Texeira) and Anne Springer, a special friend and business partner, Raymond (Shelly) Harris, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Leo G. and Ellen Smudde, a sister-in-law Debbie Coon, and brothers-in-law Robert Francis and James Springer.
The funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 11:30 AM at ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald St, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 4:30 until 7:00 PM at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 3212 S. Oneida St., Appleton, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the mass at the church.
A memorial fund has been established in Jim's name. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Fr. Falk and all of those who have prayed for Jim and the family during this difficult time. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
