Location: Northern Illinois | Supposedly this has been cancelled due to participation.
Is there any reason why you would not fish this series? It's very well run in Illinois and the first one in Wisconsin went very well. The Illinois series is nearing 50 teams on a much smaller body of water.
Just wondering............

| I personally didn't know anything about this tourney until the post a few days ago. Don't know if that is from lack of promotion on the WWA or due to my own omission. However I know of two other Wisconsin based circuits that are currently running with high particiapation numbers which may contribute to the lack to participation in the WWA. Just not enough time or money for people to do them all.

| For someone considering fishing just one tournament, the $70 per boat membership fee may be a deterrent.
I'm not complaining about it, I understand circuits don't run themselves, I'm just saying it may affect the potential "one-timers".

| Thumper im a little confused are you sayingthat 70 dollars is a lot???? I want my wife to get envolved and that would have been the perfect venue just didnt know about it or we ould be in it my wife cant handle big waves so it oould have been a fum tournament for her and if waves were to big o well
I cant understand the promotion with this tournament I think that a lot of local people would sign up if handled properly and it looks that there was a lot of cancellations if they want to make it work it takes work

| I'm not saying the fee is high, especially if you are doing more than one. Other circuits have similar fees, it's just a little steeper price to pay for a team only wanting to fish one tournament.
Winnebago folks are lucky to have several proven options in regards to tournaments, so while there are a ton of tournament anglers here, it is still a challenge for an up and coming circuit.
I wish the WWA the best of luck and hope they are successful here.
