Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Friend of mine asked me today if I remember that fierce thunderstorm that moved through Bay and Tuscola Counties 2 weeks ago in the middle of the night. I told him that I sure did, the thunder and lightening show woke me up several times.
He then pulls out his cell phone and shows me a picture of a HUGE tree he has on his property and where lightening had hit the tree and split it down the middle. WOW I said, you must have heard that explosion in the house hey. He says "Yup, it woke me and the whole family up". I went out after the storm past the next morning to look at the tree and found something else had suffered the same fate standing underneath the tree.
