Location: Rhinelander | This morning at launch time it was 37 degrees offering clearing skies and moderate breezes, which according to the top 4 teams, are needed to put fish in the net. The weather services all insist it will rain today, and winds blow 10 out of the SW.
The top 4 are all fishing the same area, a small shelf on Big Bay in 10 to 14' with green weeds. Spinners are the rule, although one team is using cranks some with success. Berkley GULP and crawlers are putting the fish in the boat.
Watch a couple of the middle of the top ten teams at the weigh in today, they are on fish they found yesterday, and think they will be able to hit 'em hard today. If the top 4 stumble, it's still anyone's game.
The weigh in should start at round 4:30 today.

Location: Rhinelander | The bite was again tough as the weather forecast to cloud the skies and offer up some rain held off until after the teams were off the water, but Mercury Pros Tony Kobriger and Dan Zwick put 4 fish in the net for the third day in a row to weigh 19-07 for a total weight of 55-03 literally running away with the win and a check for $20,000.00.
Mercury/MW Marine Pros Kevin Dahl and Steve Stack put 2 in the boat today, enough for a convincing second place with 44-11. Lantzy and Vandemark weighed two 'overs' for the third time in as many days to take third 5 pounds back of second.
Wayne Van Dyke and Erich Carlson took fourth and Jason Doyon and Robert Laframboise rounded out the top five.
The winning total was caught pulling gold spinners over green weeds, tipped with GULP or crawlers on Big Bay.
Derek Navis and Kory Sprengel received the Masters Walleye Circuit Team of the Year Trophy during the weigh in. It has been a very good year for those two.
