Does anyone know what the expected usefull life of an outboard is in hours...

You know kinda like a car/truck is designed for 100k miles.. we all know most of them run longer than that but that's what they're engineered for.

Two-Stroke
Four-Stroke
Two-Stroke Direct Injection, Opti's, Ficht's, etc.

Why do I ask...since I'm no longer part of a manufacturers pro-team I am going to buy a new rig within the next year and I intend to keep it long term. I take impeccible care of my stuff and am bigger on dependability than I am a motor that will give me 3 more mph on top end.

Appreciate the feedback.
