Subject: Rhodes and Koester Win at Spring Valley

Conditions at Spring Valley improved this morning, and the weather for the rest of the day looks stellar. Most of the anglers we spoke to were going to do exactly what they did yesterday to put fish in the boat. Jigging with GULP! and pulling crankbaits were the most mentioned techniques.

60 limits came to the scales yesterday, so there should be plenty of fish coming to the scales for Rusty to weigh. Expect some major shifts in placement, because the weights are so close all the way to 25th. A kicker walleye could make the day for quite a few teams.

Scott Rhodes and Jeff Koester weighed 26-04 total to take the win at the Spring Valley 'Artificial Lure Only' tournament today on the Illinois River.

Heath Bohman and Gordy Powers moved up the leader board to take home second with a total weight of 24-01. Lund Pro Roy Vivian and Scott Pirnstill took third with 23-08.

In fourth are Ryan Feldott and Chris Payne, and Barry O'Flynn and Corey Blair round out the top 5.

it took 19-15, more than the winning weight last year at the Spring Valley MWC, to make the top 20.
