Location: Rhinelander | It's going to be a seriously beautiful afternoon at Trenton, Michigan. The winds are OK to start the day, and were near calm at launch time. The forecast has it sunny with NW winds 12 to 14. That's a good wind direction for the ride many of the pros are taking, with the waves head on both ways.
All the pros we talked to this morning were confident the bite will hold, they just need to find the 'right color water' which is easier on a sunny day, and get the bait in front of the correct fish.
Spinners caught a few of the better fish yesterday, Crankbaits kicked 'em around when the fish were up in the water column, but many pros reported later in the day yesterday the fish were closer to the bottom and spinners were more effective.

Location: Rhinelander | The final weights between 1st and 3rd were separated by .35 of a pound.
Dan Stier took the win pulling spinners with 84.67. He takes home a certificate for a new Ranger boat and cash. In second was Ronnie Rhodes with 84.49. Third went to Bill Shimota with 84.31.
Stier said he had a tough morning, but managed to put together a nice bag through the afternoon. He was pulling spinners with crawlers, nearly stalling the boat and getting most of his hits on the fall, but the winds today made that presentation tougher. He was absolutely convinced he would not take the win creating some excitement at the end as Brian Bjorkman, day one leader, weighed in and didn't have enough. Bjorkman ended the event in eighth.
Fourth went to Brett King, and Bob Henton rounded out the top five.
