The Theders came in with enough to take the Merc Mational by a margin, edging out a hard charging 'Creeper' Jacobson and Jim Hughes by a little over 4 pounds. The bite went soft today after a major cool front moved through churning up the big lake mud bite and making travel dangerous and tough. The trolling bite on the mud died almost completely. The river and upper lakes were off some as well, but some good weights came from the teams that adjusted well on those waters. Jigging very shallow produced well.
Third were Brett Leitl and Chris Ringennolds with 36.54. Fourth were Ed Goehring and Luke Leanna, day one leaders.
Ryan Foster and Brian Deffner rounded out the top five.

Tim and Dave are a couple of great guys. I bet he is still running that Storm. They were my neighbors up on the east side. Great fisherman. Congrats fellas. You did good.
