Ryan Dempsey and Adam Adler took home top honors today at the Oconto MWC on the Bay of Green Bay. The team put two consistent days together rip jigging and cranking shallow water to total 60.09. The win was worth over $11 K including Big Fish awards from both days and contingencies.
Wayne Van Dyke and Erich Carlson rocketed up the leader board to second with a 35-01 pound basket to total 47-12. In third were Gaines and Rhoades, fourth Candle and Skurulsky. Rounding out the top 5 were Vandemark and Ruckman.
The bite was very tough again. Fish were caught deep and shallow, but the winning weights were caught in the shallower water. 24 boats zeroed for the event. The Bay certainly didn't show her potential other than the top couple weights. There were huge schools of baitfish in the shallows, and that could have been part of the problem.
