Location: Manitowoc, WI | What are your favorite colors and cranks for the upper lakes? I've done well on Butte de Mortes in May and June on T-stick Jrs., shallow shad raps, and Little Rippers. Favorite colors would be chrome/black, shads of green, blue, and crawfish.
On Poygan and Winneconne, I like Shad Raps......specifically, the holographic green and blue in #5. Also did well on Pearl, black, and Blue #5's.
As the water gets warmer, I like to switch over to Hot n Tots and Deep Little Rippers with very short leads.....no more than 6-10'. Always fun to try and net a fish while the board is still attached.

| After a long day being skunked, two musky fishermen floated near a pier where a lady was crying in deep despair. They asked what's wrong and she said, "That big musky jumped out of the water and ate my little dog Muffin." One of the guys paused and said, "What color was he ?" | |

Food for thought in the spring when the water is warming I like a #7 original floating rap in the top foot of the water column saved my butt in some tournys when the fishing slows toward mid day. Also blue and silver is the color of choice in that bait.
