| I just read on another site a posting put up by Gary Gray that Yar-Craft has been sold to a new owner. Not alot of other information about it other than that the owner is from Wisconsin.
Maybe a 21' Storm will be in the near future! |

| Oh boy, am I happy. It's great to be on the state team for Yar-Craft today!
I can just see that new 21' Storm hooked up to the back of my truck with that bad @ss 275 or 300 Project X (Family Three) motor and the new Merc 9.9hp kicker on the back already.
Anyone want to run for pink slips? If so, take a look at the front of my boat now because its the last time you will be able to see it!!!

| Also, in a more humble note. Our new owner is Mr. Corey Suther.
I wish him great success with his new adventure and hope everyone here will do the same. Thanks! |

| I just got off the phone with a friend who has been in touch with the goings on with Yar-Craft. This new owner is really going to get something going for them! In case you have not heard, his name is Cory Suther, and has a very successful metal fabricating business in the Stevens Point area, which employs about 140 people.
I would like to say welcome to Paul Thompson. Paul has been production manager for some time, and will be taking over all the operations of Yar-Craft on a daily basis, as well as continuing as production mgr..
Gary Gray will be back, not just fishing for Yar-Craft, but also heading up the whole pro-staff team as well. Congrats Gary, I'm glad to be working under you again.
Our new owner has some very specific plans for increasing interest and sales of his boats. I'm not at liberty to say what I've been told, nor would it be right for me to since I was not at the meeting myself, but boat buyers, and dealers will like his ideas, I can promise that.
Sounds also that there will be some changes in the construction of these fine boats as well. They are planning on phasing out all wood from the construction and go to all composite construction. Much stronger and lighter as well.
All in all, I'm excited to be associated with this company and hope for the best for our new owner and his company. The next time you are in the market for a boat, make sure you take a look at them! |
