Location: Upper Sandusky Ohio | Is it just me or does anybody else have to go through your tackle boxes every single weekend from the end of hunting season, until the first launch of the year??? Cabin fever gets worse every single winter. It's so bad this year I have gone so far as to watch Bill Dance video's. I did learn some new Technical Jargon though by watching his shows such as Gitonupovahere (this means if I raise my rod tip up the fish will come towards me)and Hooodoggy (Nice fish). It just goes to show you that we Walleye guys can still be tought new stuff |

Location: Bay City, MI |
I usually just climb the walls and drink heavily until some ice starts to form. Once that comes, I kiss the little woman goodbye, pat the kids on the head, and spend hours upon hours staring down a 10" hole in the ice. If it wasn't for that, cabin fever starts to set in very deep and I start doing stuff like "working around the house" and "painting hallways" and, heaven forbid, playing Euchre with the wife as a partner. I can't tell you how happy I am that it's been a cold winter. ;)

Torphy.
Unless you plan on digging a 5 acre pond and planting it with HUGE Florida Largmouth Bass, Farm Pond Bill will teach you very little about catching fish that will actually ignore a cigarette butt when tossed in the water. I forgot when the last time was, when he actually fished an actual lake or river for free ranging fish.

Location: Upper Sandusky Ohio | I agree 100%. Billy's videos are ok if you are a basic farm pond dude. I'm gonna get out of the house today for little drive up to the Lake to see if I can find some bait stores open. After checking my tackle for the 3rd consecutive weekend I realize I need/want some more releases for my boards. I've never been to Vermillion by land, so I think I'll go check out Den's Sportsman's Post. It's suppose to be nice place. |

Location: Rhinelander | Winter usually provides me with more work tham I care to undertake, so I am almost never bored this time of the year. Boat and Sport shows, meetings, shows, and did I mention, shows?
Spring will be very welcome this year. |

Location: Upper Sandusky Ohio | I just got back from Vermillion Ohio. What a pretty little town! I stopped at Den's Sportsman's outpost, and got a deal on some Reef Runners. I also stopped at 2 other bait/tackle stores The Dry Dock, and Rich's Bait, and Tackle, and was really impressed with the hospitality they displayed. I asked all sorts of questions from when the bite starts down that way, to where an overnighter can get a shower, and they all had the courtesy to answer every question I fired at them. I sat with Den for about an hour around his "strategy table" and talked about everything from Deer hunting, to Fishing. I have already began plans for a 2 or 3 day vacation In April. I can only only hope the fishing is as nice as the folks I met today. To Captain Dan all I can say is I was a little shocked |
