Steve, does the site have any plans for an event of some sort down here on Lake Erie? It would be a tremendous advertizing opportunity for the company down here to more people. It would also be nice to get a chance to meet you, and some of the others here that I don't already know. If you would need some help in organizing, or doing some footwork, for an event I would be willing to help in some way, and I'm sure some of the others down this way would be more than happy to help. Thanks!

WalleyeFIRST would be happy to have an outing on Erie this year. Let me know what you think about timing, where it should be headquartered from, and any other details you might find important.

I would be there for sure!

Well Steve here are some things to consider. Do we want to focus on the everyday Walleye guy, or do we want this to be an event with an emphesis on the Pro side of the industry? Myself I would like to see this target every day Anglers. That does not mean we don't want the Pro side there. What I'm saying is that the majority of people don't do this for a living and they(the majority) is what we would want to target. If we have a Tourny we will need a spot that can handle lots of boats. I visited Vermillion Ohio this weekend for the first time, and what a beautiful town. It looks like there is plenty of access for boats, and I saw a very good place to centralize the event from. I can't remember the name of the place, but it's a Restaurant/Bar right on the river. According to one of the bait store owners I talked with the chamber of commerce is looking for fishing events, so they should be willing to assist us I would think. I would like to see the event consume the entire weekend. Friday would be a day for checking in, and getting settled, I would think some sort of dinner or gathering would be great. At this gathering we could go over the tourny rules, register, have a raffle, maybe a Euchre tourny or something I don't know. Saturday would bring the fishing. Saturday night relax with all the new freinds we make on Friday night, play some cards whatever, and on Sunday have a poor man's tourny where awards are given for largest fish of different species, booby prizes for fun stuff, etc. I would like to see it be a fun driven event, and not an out for blood thing. Maybe the Chamber of Commerce would want to do a combination thing like some sort of festival with Walleyefirst. Call it something like "Family Fest with Walleyefirst". What do you think? Anybody else??

we have several MuskieFIRST events a year in Kentucky, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Canada, and other locations. We invite ANYONE who wishes to fish, ride along, or just attend. We try to get a deal on lodging, offer lots of door prizes, set up at least one meal or fish fry, and daily meetings to get prizes handed out and talk fishing. Look at the Outing Board on www.muskiefirst.com for details. I'm up for an outing, let's explore dates and see where we can place the event.

I'll get in touch with the Vermillion Chamber of Commerce to see if they would welcome us. If we're not I will explore some other spots. I'll make sure to check Muskiefirst so we don't double up a date. I'll be in touch with you on what I find out from Vermillion. Thanks Steve.

Hey Steve, This would be a great idea. Sometime in the fall when the "pigs" are runnun' around wild. Would be great for Walleye First and Patriot. Will, slso, have news very soon on my tournament. It would really be nice to have Jim and you come down for it. Take care!

If we do it around the first of Nov. we would have the choice of two different "get togethers" we could attend. I would have to lean towards walleyefirst, of course!:)

Trophy, I'd be very happy to help organize something like this. Let's get together and do it. I think Zach, Steve, Ralph and the crew of Walleye First would be thrilled.

Ok. First of all where are you located, and when would you like to meet? I could drive up there, or we could meet half way or whatever works for you. I would like to see 5, or 6 of us lead this up. That way we can put a guy in charge of individual tasks, instead of 1, or 2 trying to jugle it all. Is there anyone else who like to help us?? Let us know, and We'll schedule something to get this rolling. Thanks folks.

Kevin, My travels will be taking me alot into Ohio. As a matter of fact, I am the New Tournament Director for the GNWC in Michigan and Ohio. I will, hopefully, be coming to the Cleveland Show in March. Maybe we could meet around there somewhere or I live in Westland, MI, which is about 5 miles North of Metro Airport. You can reach me anytime @ (734) 891-1001 or drop me an e-mail @ [email protected]. Hope to hear from you!

Hi Rookie, I don't know what you've heard, but as they say, don't believe all until you see for yourself, but I'd love to have you aboard my boat anytime. Let's get together this summer.

If you would like we could meet sometime in April, and hopefully we will have some more people here dedicate themselves to pitching in. I could see a very good event coming off with the right amount of helpers. March is shot for me between consolidating 2 factory's, and school. After the 1st Saturday in April I can meet at your convenience. Keep in touch.

Rookie,
Bo is a great guy, but he has to take me fishing the same time he takes you. I know he has room in the boat!
