Have to Blow My Horn!

Its obvious to all - having accumulated a large number of posts to this site - that shyness is not one of the emotions experienced while sitting at my computer. So here is the sound from my horn!

Last weekend my friend from New York, Bob Hollingsworth, called and told me of a picture in the In-Fisherman 2004 Walleye Guide. He said that under the magnifying glass you could plainly see me pictured in the magazine.

The picture was taken by the PWT camera boat while fishing out of a loaned Patriot Boat, the second day of the Port Clinton, Ohio - PWT contest.

And just for the sake of mentioning, the boat and motor being used that tournament, was owned by Pat Gahan, who was gracious to have helped me out with it's use. It really was a sweet rig and the 150 Horse Merc had a rythmic sound that I really liked.

That picture in the Walleye Guide really brings back those memories!

Good deal, Rick. Nice to make the issue, even if the picture isn't a cover shot!

Rick, now that you are famous for being in In-Fisherman when are you going to be famous for finding me some fish on the Bago? The lake is a swimming pool I fear and you need a airboat to navigate. Just got back from Palm Springs Cal. and am ready to rock and roll.

Big Guy! Welcome back.

99.9% of the people who see that picture will be wondering what type of boat Patriot is, and not give a second thought as to who is at the controls. The only famous happening here is when I look in the mirror! LOL

But it has been great fun showing my family and friends. One guy remarked that an add in that magazine costs a whole lot of money and I should feel very fortunate for the spot. - And I do!

Another thing I'm happy for is that old (early seventies) guy along with me. He had a very hard time that day, as he had a medical condition and the weather was rough on him. He couldn't easily get out of that seat and complained alot about the cold and such. I'll have to try to get hold of him, maybe he'll not think it was the worst Christmas present he ever received once he sees it.

But anyway, you should be happy to see that black motor hanging there!

Since I'm leaving shortly for Illinois River, then have a trip planned to Michigan next week. We'll have to plan something when I return.
