As a representative of the CP Center I want to personally thank allinvolved for organizing such a unique and fun way to reach a great group of people! The CP Telethon is a weekend-long event where we raise money to benefit the CP Center's rehabilitation facility. Due to the support and generosity of folks like you we are able to offer our services not just to those with Cerebral Palsy...We are able to help many others as well including; stroke victims, hunting accident victims, folks with arthritis, fibromyalgia, children, adults and teenagers, etc. No one is ever turned away from our facility because of a lack of ability to pay. Everyone deserves excellent care whether they can pay for it or not. I am so touched by the concern shown by the anglers directly involved as well as those who are taking the time to view this message. Thank you very much! We're already planning for next year for an even bigger and better event! Thank You Again!

Pat, this is an awsome thing. I would like to thank you and everyone involved for contributing your time and resources to this great cause. This kind of event will bring a great reward to both the people affected and the people involved. The exposure is a great way to show the fishing community and everyone else how many good thinks are done by professional anglers. The dedication you and all the participants have put into your "sport" are truely commendable. Maybe the personal contributions you guys are putting forth will be followed by further contributions from your sponsors and the manufacturers in the industry. Again the people will lead this industry. As I am sure others will see the benefits of an event like this.
Good Luck to you and everyone involved this is a noble cause!

We are always looking for Guides & Pro's that are willing to donate their time or fishing trips. Or anyone for that matter.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has a 28 hour Radiothon where they auction off a meriad of different things, coming up in about 3 weeks. Pat Wakefield from LLS 262-790-4701 called me the other day & she is in need of things for their auction. I donate 3 trips to the Cerebral Palsy & 3 trips to LLS each year. It's a feelgood thing, is what you get you back from donating to these causes.

So if you have a soft spot or would like someone in the boat with you while prefishing for an event or just going fishing give Pat Wakefield from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society a call at 262-790-4701. You pick the date & time to fit your schedule for the outing. I have a couple of trips bought last Fall & we're going out this July.

On another note if Gary Gray is available he will be answering phones at the CP Telethon with the rest of us. He will let us know this week. I just wanted to say THANKS to Gary for taking the time to talk with me about volunteering. With all the other things going on around him what a CLASS act he is. Thanks again Gary. Pat

To Everyone Here in Cyberspace:

You “DO NOT” need to be in the televised viewing area to bid on these outings. Some of these trips will end up being very affordable, considering this is our first year working with the Cerebral Palsy Telethon. So please take the time to call the number below and show everyone in the world just how giving we fisherman can be.

(920) 438-7827 Auction Line

Each trip being auctioned is for 2 people.

I will try to give a brief description on each outing and location.

Gary Gray
My computer would shut down if I tried to post all of Gary’s accomplishments. Gary is donating a trip on the Winnebago Chain. He is trying to adjust his schedule so he can appear with us at the Telethon. Thanks Gary.

Capt. Carl Grunwaldt - Licensed Charter Capt., PWT & RCL Pro, Garmin, Cabela’s, Outdoor Writer, appeared on numerous outdoor shows.
Carl is offering a day of Musky fishing in Northeast WI. Carl is famous across the Midwest for his Musky trips. Or you can pick a day of fishing while he is prefishing for one of the 6 PWT events across the country, or RCL Lake Erie Port Clinton, OH.

Jack Dunn & McQuoid’s Inn - Guide’s Mn., Yarcraft, Mercury, among others.
Jack has cashed a few checks fishing tournaments in MN. This trip is for Walleye on beautiful Mille Lacs Lake, and no one is better than Jack on this body of water. McQuoid’s is supplying 1 nights lodging at their gorgeous Inn overlooking Mille Lacs along with Jack’s trip. You will learn a lot by spending a day on the water with Jack Dunn. ( Value - Priceless.)

Jerry Ruffolo, WI. Guide, PWT & RCL Pro, Crestliner, Yamaha.
The trip Jerry will be offering will be for a day of pre-fishing on any of the waters he will be at this year . His tourney schedule will find him at Winneconne, Winnebago, Green Bay, Lake Erie/Cleveland and the Bay de Noc. Jerry’s guarantee to the winner of this trip is a day of fun, and hopefully a good learning experience for all of us..

Dave Landahl - WC Guru, Bass Pro, Outdoor writer. Location TBA

Mike Koepp – Pro Musky Tournament Trail “PMTT”, WI Guide, Ranger, Merc
Mike is offering a Musky trip on Pewaukee Lake in Southern WI. He caught and released over 100 legal Musky in 2003. Be prepared to laugh and learn. I’m bidding on this one myself.

Larry Smith – WI. Guide, PWT Pro, Patriot Boats, Merc, Frabill , Featured in numerous outdoor shows across the Midwest.
Most well known guide in the Midwest and hardest working. This trip is for either Central or Northeast WI.

Capt. Ken & Kevin Sallmar from Sallmar’s Resort located on Bay de Noc, MI.
They are donating 2 nights lodging at their resort on Bay de Noc, MI. and a 1 day charter with your choice of Sumo Walleye, Monster Northern Pike, Trophy Smallmouth Bass or reel-stripping Salmon.

Pat Cavins – MWC, RCL, Fund-raising coordinater
I am offering a Walleye trip for one of the following locations, Bay of Green Bay, Lake Winnebago, Wolf River, Illinois River, Lake Erie/Port Clinton,OH., Saginaw Bay, MI. Leech Lake, MN. Specializing in a good time..

Please take the time to call 920-438-7827 starting on Saturday, March 6th from 8:00p.m. until Sunday, March 7th at 5:00p.m. The pledge taker can inform you if you are the high bidder.

Special thanks to everyone involved. It is much more appreciated than you will ever know.

Sincerely,
Pat & Christy Cavins

I too would like to help out, I will unforunatly be out of town during the event. I could donate a trip on Mille Lacs for 2. I know Jack, and could take the second highest bidder. Please feel free to call me or e-mail me if I can help. The month of June on the big lake can be some of the best in the Midwest! Numbers of fish and also #s of large fish, fish the 27-29" range are very common that time of year. Let me know if I can help.

Well, just saw the boys get introduced on TV. Jerry introduced himself and Carl Grunwalt and JD11 (Jack Dunn) got to say a few words.

They're still on the phone bank and maybe we can get some fishing advice!

Just wanted to thank Pat again for getting me involved with this great cause. Words cannot describe how great a feeling it was to be a part of that atmosphere at WBAY as the kids were singing and the donations were being tabulated. I can't wait for next year!!!

I just found out that a guy I work with won my auction and we'll be hitting the Bay this year, along with his 17 year old son, to pound the hell out of those pig walleyes!!!

Jerry,

I felt those same sentiments myself. It was nice meeting you and the others finally. I have to say, I felt more welcome than any Viking fan has ever felt in Green Bay before. Thanks!!!

I'm looking forward to next year, and hope we can make it even more successfull!

Jack,

It was fun hangin' with you, Mike, Pat and Carl. Too bad I couldn't make the card game Saturday night. Looking forward to getting up to Mille Lacs in the near future now that I know one of the top sticks on that water!!!

Looking forward to next year, as I see this having a snowball effect with even greater participation.

If you won one of the auctions you should of been contacted by now. If you are in doubt call 920-337-1122 ask for Jennifer Fogarty.

Next year we will have our own section (I hope we didn't scare anyone). With designated lines for us to answer questions. After talking with Jennifer she liked the "off the wall personality" as long as it's in good taste. We are hoping to raise between $6,000 to $10,000 next year. We have some ideas going that will make it more interesting.Pat
