291 Teams left Lakeside Park this morning on to Winnebago in two flights, heading out into what promises to be a very rough day one. Winds are forecast to hit 25 mph plus this afternoon out of the S/SW, with temps in the upper 80's. Reports are that the bite has been tough, but this tournament always provides a few outstanding weights.
Weigh in festivities will begin at about 1:30 at the park.

Location: Rhinelander | Describing conditions on Winnebago this afternoon as 'brutal' would be an understatement.
The bite wasn't bad despite conditions, with more limits brought to the stage today than at last year's Merc National. The weights are lighter and numbers of big fish down, but it's hard to tell if the rough conditions or the bite were the culprit.
