Location: Rhinelander | Pro Mark Courts took home over $83,000.00 in cash and prizes at the Prairie du Chien NWT this afternoon, beating John Hoyer by just a bit over 1 pound. Mark had his fish before noon, and waited almost 5 hours too weigh in and confirm the win.
He was fishing Berkley crank baits and Willow Cats for the win. In third behind Hoyer is Maury Schmerbach, a perennial threat on the river. Fourth was taken by Bruce 'Doc' Samson, and rounding out the top 5 was Randy Hummel.
Doc Samson fished with Co Angler champ James Richardson, who at 73 was fishing his first walleye tournament. At 68 and 73, Doc said they represented over 70 years fishing between them, undoubtedly an NWT first.
