The best walleye anglers in the world headed out on the Bay of Green Bay under hazy skies this morning with the hope of big bags and a shot at the championship. Comments from anglers indicate that the bite has been good, yet inconsistent. reports of a variety of tactics, including trolling cranks and harnesses, casting jigs, ripping jigging spoons, have all been working under certain circumstances. Sunny skies and moderate winds combined with an incoming front made for some large bags of walleyes being weighed today at the National Walleye Tour's final stop of the 2017 season. As anglers stated before the tournament, fish were caught on about every tactic in the tackle box. With a major weather change on the way tonight and tomorrow, it is still anybody's ball game.
