The National Walleye Tour is underway on Bago this morning under sunny skies and brisk winds. The field of 116 boats will have a variety of techniques at their disposal as the walleyes head for post spawn. Stand by for coverage from Jason Sloan this morning!

116 Boats took off early this morning for the first leg of the NWT 2018 on the Winnebago System. Mild temps with light breezes greeted anglers on what will be the nicer of the 2 day event. Anglers talked of trying to put a good bag together on day 1 will be important as the weatherman is calling for a cold front with rain and east winds coming in on Friday. The bite seems to have been great, with a lot of 16-19" fish being caught, one of the keys will be landing a few of those 'kicker' fish (walleyes over 20").
