Was just wondering if any members live near NW Ohio and have ever had the chance to fish the walleye run in the Maumee river? I live about 10 minutes from the hot walleye spots, recently I sold all my boats and am wondering if someone would trade a ride for a guide on the Maumee? Though the river is wadeable I prefer not to wade unless I have no other choice. An ideal boat would be about a 12 to 14ft deep v aluminum that u could throw in the back of a truck and launch off the rocks at Orleans park in Perrysburg Ohio, this is the best place to launch because the good spots are not far-----If you have a motor already mounted to your boat and cant remove-----There is a launch 2 miles down river with a concrete ramp----However launching from here requires a 2 mile boat trip up river with many rocks to avoid and by the time you get to the good spots they are usually taken. I do have a 9.9 mercury engine we could slap on the back of your boat and go-----The run really gets going about the 3rd week in March to the 2nd week of April and then begins to peak out-----So if u have a Totable 12 to 14 ft Deep V and wanna trade a ride for a guide-----email me at [email protected] Oh 1 more this make sure you have all proper licenses and registration for fishing and the boat because the DNR does check.
