I just wanted to set the word straight to confirm any rumors out there. I have already been working with Tracker as of February and had been contemplating a boat change already in the fall of 2003. Good Luck to all anglers in 2004 – Tim Minnema

Tim Minnema joins Tracker Marine

Professional Angler - Tim Minnema of Markesan WI has recently joined Tracker Marine. The young, energetic angler has a strong family fishing tradition, which not only includes his father Jim, immediate family of his Wife Mardi and Son Cody (8), but a large amount of the entire Minnema family. Not only is Tim a developed multi-species angler but he has also been a fierce competitive walleye angler for the past 17 years. Tim Minnema has a long tournament fishing record starting in 1987. Tim has dedicated most of his life to fishing; he has a defined true love for the sport, which extends throughout the seasons of the year. Tim credits his father for instilling in him a desire to fish, and thanks him for all of the memories they have created together and for the special bond that fishing has formed.

Tim Minnema will be fishing in the Tracker Tundra 21 Fishing Team Edition powered with a 250XL Mercury Optimax XS. The latest addition to the Tundra line-up, the Tundra 21 DC Fishing Team Special Edition is loaded with all the right equipment to pull in that trophy walleye. Constructed of .125-thick aluminum alloy the Tundra 21 DC uses an innovative-patented formed aluminum process. You get the look and performance of fiberglass and the durability and toughness of aluminum on a boat that delivers an incomparable rough water ride. All of this, along with the quality and craftsmanship you expect from Tracker Boats.

In 2003 Tim competed in one of the busiest competitive walleye schedules ever, competiting in 16 events - all PWT and RCL events as well as two MWC tournaments, the PWT Championship, RCL Championship, Cabela’s Team Championship, and won the MWC Championship with his father in the final event of the season. 2004 - Will mark Minnema’s fourth year as a full-time professional angler. Tim will concentrate his efforts on the In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail (PWT). The PWT has been a leader in Professional Walleye Tournaments since 1990. In 2004 the PWT will travel to Lake Winnebago and the Fox and Wolf river system in Winneconne Wisconsin, the Missouri River at Chamberlain South Dakota, Cass Lake Chain in Cass Lake Minnesota, Bull Shoals Lake in Bull Shoals Arkansas, Lake Erie Cleveland Ohio, and Bay’s de Noc at Escanaba Michigan, with the year ending Championship on the Keweenaw Waterway in Houghton Michigan.

Minnema appears in a variety of fishing publications regularly as well as television appearances on an array of networks. Tim also generates exposure on various radio shows, as well as general websites, sport and boat shows, in store promotions, and through his educational seminars. Tim provides a direct emotional impact with his personal experiences allowing a genuine personal connection. With Minnemas background and dedication to fishing, he provides proof to all younger potential anglers that there is a realistic opportunity at a professional angling career.

His career highlights include:

2003 MWC World Walleye Champion
2002 RCL Angler of the year
