I've seen a handful of posts on the Team Ranking. I thought I read at one time that Zach was thinking about it and also raised a handful of questions regarding the team rankings weather it be rhetorical or not.

I honestly don't see how something can effectively be ranked for teams based on all the "junior" circuits available to fish. And at any rate, there will be an unneccessary amount of belly aching and grumbling regarding any team ranking that would materialize.

The Cabela's Nat's is trying to answer this very question by the tournament they run...as impressive as it is, it amazes me why they continue sometimes, due to all the gripes I've seen on message boards.

Knowing that and if I was in Zach's/WF shoes. I don't think I'd put out team rankings. Look at the stir they created with the WWR....which I do like.

Just my 2 cents

Perhaps that is why he's doing it? Create a good stir, and the ensuing debate? LOL

Actually, depending on the series/events that are used, will help determine how they are perceived. I, for one, can't wait for them to come out. Also eagerly awaiting the Muskie Ranking, too.

Good points. Think if its based on a formula of the number of teams entered, adding something for cost to enter and prestige of circuit, it will be close enough to count.

And if there is controversy? What better way to promote it's exsistence.

The Team Rankings are locked and loaded but you'll have to wait a bit longer to see "The List". Naturally, as one would expect, larger tournaments and circuits have more value than similar finishes in smaller events. A "body of work" that has a wider range of fishing locations also holds more value. It's a cool system!
