Well guys what we have waited for all winter has arrived. The eyes are comming up the Fox River, heading for the marshes upstream.Fishing is great at the dam,and other areas along the river. Most fish are the little pan sized eaters around 15 inches, but some spawnig ready males and females have started to arrive. It will only get better!..Hafe

I've got the old boat in the water. The fish are going over the ladder, and things have slowed down some.We will have to wait for this east wind to go away.Reminds me of last year with all the N.Easters, sure hope that don't happen again!

Got out on the Fox at Eureka this morning. Did more looking than fishing. Saw a few limits of small fish come in, but not much in the way of bigger females. Did see some nice perch being caught by shore fisherman. Fishing should improve there over the next few weeks as we approach the spawn.

If I say the fish are gone, believe it.We sat at the dam from 6:00 till 10:00 am with only 2 fish to show for it.I would say they are pretty much up the river for now.Heard from some guys,Oshkosh is slowing down, and Winneconnie was hot today, untill the wind picked up.Sure was brutal boat control on the river today, with the bow mount, and trying to fight the wind, and current at the same time. Some 20 boats and only saw 5 fish caught...hafe

Hafe- I was up a little from the bus, by the tree. I have seen a few carp caught up there already. I will be out tonight also, but probably be trying down by Delhi. Dave

WHITEBASS- the river is getting hot,if you want some whitebass action.Look for grassy areas along the bank,or overhanging trees. Most fish are in the shallows now,3-5 feet of water on the average.I use a Black/Panther Martin Spinner,Gold blade, with a 1/4 oz. split shot a foot above the spinner.Cast into shore and retrieve.Walleye action is also starting to come back around, some nice fish have been coming to those who wait for them.(Not enough to win the tourny though guys.sorry)........hafe
