Mike,
Went down on Monday and wednesday, caught 1 each day, no one was tearing them up. The boat next to us caught one that weighed 12.5 unofficially. Looks like the wind needs to change to clear the water up a bit, pretty dirty. water temps were in the low 40's in the Trenton Channel. Most boats were fishing the stacks area, very few were up by the steel mill.

We have been doing pretty well jigging and handlining. Will be at it again Fri afternoon.

Most of you guys fly right by the best spots and fish with the group.

Well, I aint going to give that away, but I can tell you what to look for and you can develop you own spots.

The 2 key things I look for are transition areas where it turns from a mud to a gravel or rocky bottom.

And of course, areas where there are underwater ledges and current breaks where the fish can hide out of the current. There are several areas where the channels from a "v" pointing upriver, fish around the tip of the v.

Great Lakes, BASF, Wyandotte golf course. There's also the east side of Grosse Ile that nobody seems to fish in the spring. The great cluster at Edison is a joke. There's fish there, but your chances are slim unless you beat the crowd.

Hi Fellas and Gals, The GNWC tournament this week-end should be a dandy. The water in the River is getting warmer every day. If the winds will die down, it really should be a shoot-out. The big fish started showing up in Sundays catches at the MWT. Come on out and see us, Bo Oh, by the way, we'll be at Elizabeth Park on the Trenton Channel at around 4:00 on Saturday the 24th for any of you that would like to join us.
