| The bite is about as hot as it's gonna get on the Wolf now they spawing ritual has completed and they are on their way back. I managed a few shorties (table fare) and wish I had more time. It is a zoo out there! Gonna be concentrating on larger fish this weekend!
Good Luck

| Yes, I will have to agree, it is a zoo on the river this last week. I went yesterday and today, and it was fun being out there. Lots of boat traffic but lots of fish caught. I seen hundreds of males in the 13-17 inch range but no spawners caught. Do you think the females are back in the lakes allready?
Even as cold as it was this morning......lots of people out catching fish. Even getting a few white bass with the catch. Happy fish'n! |

| I have been fishing at Shiocton. The fishing has been absolutely great, to say the least. Am using 1/4 ounce blue jigheads/blue hair or feather tails....orange 1/4 ounce with a dark orange body.
good luck..the fishing should continue to be real good right through this comming weekend. |

| Went to the WOlf last night and got a limit of nice eaters mostly males but some fish in the 17-18" range. Of course Chase out fished the old man again, His trick was something his big brother taught him the weekend before...a double minnow on a yellow jig head!! Gotta Luv it when the boys kick the ole mans tail!!
GoodLuck

Location: YouTube.com/LyubakaVideo Instagram @LyubakaVideo | My pre-weekend try was @ Timmy's Mill and Dells Dam. Beside the horryd view of bloated muskrats and my buddy trying to take a dive we handled a pretty steady bite by the panfish and this AM I made it out too late to just see how it was done - my pals had them all fugured out and were showing off thick slabs, Garry tried a white Competitor 1,5" tail and wham! 1st cast a Flathead the way it looked over 7lbs - never landed it even with my reached out net, simply jig was not embedded good enough. Next cast a Crappie - and of course when I have to leave for work they go at them... I ended up missing about a dozen finicky takes! I need some alert pills LMAO, and caught only 2 Crappie and 2 short Eyes. Fish were holding really deep as the sun was bright and water clear!

Location: Menominee MI, In Da UP Eh? | Menominee River is hot, and the bank floggers are out in full force. (Put down the pitchforks and torches, I stand on the bank too...)
The boat traffic is way up as well. The 2 fish that came out to play with me in my 1 1/2 hour break, early in the week, were both males. One was about 17" and one was around 25 inches. Both kinda thin for this time of the year tho one was dripping milt.
A friend caught a female over 28 inches later this week and she was blowin eggs all over. Shining after dark shows a guy about 8 million glowing eyeballs right now...they be in thick!
One would expect the suckers to start comin in thick just about anytime now....this signaling the end of the "run".
The fish ran later this year, but will be in and done in a flash!
