Congrats to Boater Jesse Quale and Co-Angler Kevin Glaza for their Wisconsin Division RCL League win at Petenwell today. These two weighed 5 fish for 9 lbs 15 oz, in a field of 96 boats. 71 boats weighed fish today. It was a tough bite to get the coveted slot fish. I believe every boat caught fish, and alot of them. However, 14" fish were everywhere, and willing biters. The weather was great, with sunny skies and a slight wind. Little flow from the dam at Nekoosa slowed the current, and the slot fish were hard to come by.

I will post pics tomorrow when I get back to high speed connection.

To my boater Gerry, had fun today, even though we had a rough start. Hope all it was is the hub. You've got points, so get them at GB next month!

Thanks for the report, Shep. Pictures will be very appreciated! I'll call you this week to set something up to assist you for reporting on the RCL League events you fish.

Sounds like a great day on the water despite the tough big girl bite.

Rich,

I encrypted it so only you could not open it. Didn't want to take any razzing from you on my second smallest fish! LOL

Actually, I was leading the tourney with that fish for a while. 'Til the second bag came to the scale! hehehe

I called trap on my way home and he told me about the problem he had. On the way out of take off I seen a boat come to a dead stop and was like oh man some one is having some problems and told my boater that I felt sorry for the guy. Little did I know it was you guys. Well, at least you have some points out of the whole deal. Trap said he was having problems on Fri but I didnt think it was that serious. Congrats to those who caught fish, it was tough to get legals. Lost a few fish that would of weighed, but you guys know how that goes. Did get one fish to wieght in at a whopping 1.5 lbs. I had a great time meeting some new people and shring some stories with them. Till next time, good fishing.

Thanks Rich,
We were all lucky with the weather on Sat. I hope you can join us @ Green Bay in mid May or Winnebago in July. I am shure the nexed few tournaments will need boaters.

Just found out today, that Gerry is Trap.... or Trap is Gerry! Zach, I gotta have a WF hat, so this don't happen no mo. Spent a whole day in the boat, and didn't know who I was really with.

Trap, if you read this, I hope all is better with the boat, and it was only the prop, and nothing worse. Let me know.

LOL- SHEP. I THOUGHT YOU KNEW!! I think he knows who you were, maybe. When I heard his name then yours, I was like oh great two WFers pairing up, this can't be good. Otherwise LOL. I think all of us should get some hats-- hint- hint.

Guess I didn't recognize him either, without his Icefishing gear on. We fished together with Rick, Tyee, and Chase on the Fox at Depere this winter. Sheesh, do I feel foolish! Trap, did you know that was me? I wish you would have said something. Then I coulda really roasted you out there! hehehe

Shep, I thought that you had a good memory! haha. I knew who you were, but that's good that people don't know me. I kinda like it that way, someday I'll be a someboby until then I'll remain a noboby. Sat. would have been more fun if we were able to get around better. All the days spent prefishing were fun, I just wish I could have went back to a few of them spots. We can all laugh about it now.

Yes, the hub went bad. I'm back in business. From now on I will have a spare prop, hub, washer and nut, so if anybody needs one on the water you know who to find.

Whew! I bet that was a little relief, that it wasn't something major. Did you notice if the nut was loose at all? I'll be checking mine as part of the weekly preflight from now on. What time did you finally get loaded up? Hope Guy made it up there before it got too late. I see he had to stick around to collect a check. Congrats to him!

I'd have offered some bucks for fuel but we didn't use any! I'll catch you with a beer or two at GB.
