| I am hoping that someone can recommend and good cabin/resort to stay at during the upcoming MWC tourney on June 26 and 27. We are not fishing just planning a weekend getaway with the wives. It does not have to be a four star resort, but we don't want to stay in a dive either. Close to or on the lake would be a big plus!! Thanks in advance for your help! |

Location: Neenah, WI | Bear in mind that this is also the weekend for Country USA. It's a big country music festival at the Winnebago County fairgrounds. People come from all over the U.S. for this and it's HUGE.
Here is a place in Neenah where we found lodging for some MWC friends who were having trouble. It's close to resturants and stuff.
Parkway Motel
1181 Gillingham Rd.
Neenah, WI 54956
920-725-3244
I suggest you act soon.
Good Luck |

Location: Neenah, WI | I just reread your post and saw that you were looking for a resort. There really aren't the type of resorts on Winnebago that you would expect. Most of the lakeshore is occupied by private residences and seasonal cottages. The motel I gave you is 3 to 4 miles from the nearest ramp south of Neenah. Launch fee is 4 bucks.
The bite is about at its best in June with trolling and bobber fishing being the most popular. |

| Check out the Pioneer at http://www.pioneerresort.com/, or The Willows Resort at http://www.thewillowsresort.com/RESORT817/WillowsResortx.html, but it may be a bit late to reserve a room. |

| Try the Wolf River House in Winneconne, it has cabins and is on the water. The phone # is 920-582-4555. |

| Iwas going to suggest all of the above as mentioned in other posts. Pioneer Inn is nice but pricey. Another option you may consider is the campground directory if all else fails.Website for Wisconsin campground directory is www.camppoa.com |
