Location: Manitowoc, WI | I know there are a bunch of tournaments coming up over the next month on Green Bay, but I still want to give a general report.
Had a frequent contributor here at WalleyeFIRST send me an email with some pictures of some nice fish up to 30" from Green Bay. Not really sure of the where and how, but this email along with some other reports I've gotten is an indication that things are starting to go on the Bay. I'll be off (FINALLY!!!) starting Thursday in preparation for the RCL Walleye League and the MWS tournies. Hope to see you on the water. Stop and say hi if you see me!!! |

Prefished with Mike Trautman this weekend. Using some of the info garnered at Jerry's Seminar Friday night, we did pretty good Saturday. 11 fish in the boat, with the first being a real pretty 30". Boy, does that tend to get the anticipation and focus sharepened, when the first is a big one! I will post some pics tonight of a couple nice fish. Sunday, we didn't do as well, but still had a good time, and did manage a very fat 28" along with several smaller. Lot's of laughs in the boat with Mike, and was fun to have my "little" nephew, Mark, along Sunday.

| Had two on Saturday fishing by myself from 8 to 12. 30" and a 28" skinny post spawn fish. It was fun though. Beautiful day to fish the bay. |

Location: Combined Locks, WI | J.P. you might have a hard time finding people to give you more specific information right now. There are three tournaments in the next two weeks and many guys are out and they will remain tight lipped as to detail.
If you go I can tell you to just get out and take advantage of the good weather and have fun fishing. They are out there as I have been in contact with some nice fish. I sent an email to Jerry with some pics of some fish I caught recently, you just need to put some time in right now.

My understanding is that the tournament boundaries are Wisconsin waters, unless we have bad weather. Then it will be restricted to the river. |

| J.P crawlers harness are working great and so are cranks. Fish under 15ft of water with harness and deeper or same with cranks. Most of post wont give up any usefull info. its pretty much come down to a bragging right site anymore.There is a select small group on here who will share info privatly but thats it! Not what it use to be! Hope this helps |

| Not so, guess. It's just that there are 2 tourney's coming up the next two weekends. After that, I would expect the info to be a little more free. Same thing happened a few years ago on WW, when the Merc, Otter Street, PWT, and the Fleet Farm rolled around. Not much info was shared on site, and I understood that. I still went out, and I still got on fish. Yes, there are a few who will share info, in fact , I'd say there are many groups who do. But it's far from 1 group of 25 users here just sharing info amounst themselves. It's more like 20 groups, of 2 or 3 who share just amounst themselves. |

| Well shep i respect your opinion but the fact of the matter is look at all the post in past 6 months and yes there is a small amount of basic info but majority of post are guys bragging with little or no info. Now obvisouly i dont need it but what about the guys that just fish for a past time and dont fish tourny's and come on here for alittle help?i'm not into naming poeple but this site has changed for it once was for"sharing info" and i have seen very little mainly to due to more pro's or tourny fisherman becoming more computor literate and discovering this site in past 3 years.Please free to let me know if i have missed all the post in past 6 months where there was usefull info on fishing bite i would be happy to read them.Dont get me wrong there are few good post but.......i'll let it go at that! |

Its funny how people can point fingers when they "obviously dont need any help." You come on here saying no one helps anyone but offer no information yourself.
My guess is that you are looking for info and this is your way of getting it. Here you go. My two fish that I spoke of in an earlier post came one on a crank and one on a crawler harness. Both in 4' of water. SLOW. 1mph or less.
As far as where. I'm not telling. I feel every person draws a line as to how much info to give. Some give a little, some give what they caught, some give where, some give on what. I am probably on the lower end of this spectrum because I have seen what a lot of pressure can do to a spot. Especially in 4' of water.
Good luck in the tournament. I'd be glad to here your fishing report since we are all being so generous with information. Since you "obviously need no help" please help the rest of us.

| Dave i answered JP question and if he had asked more i would have given him more.Now i guess you have the magic 8ball and you know why poeple say everything? Its funny dave you know why i posted my post "you think" .. well guess what i answered Jp question and responded to the other guy about tight lips and noone talking . Yes i use this board for pleasure and i take what information and use it how i may need it but i expect nothing less than some group bashing here so let me have it! |

| Guess, I am new to the Bay and would love to catch some big walleyes and take a few pictures and let them swim. I do alright on bago for eaters but would love to catch a big one. Can you tell me where I should go and what I should try? Nobody else wants to talk. I live in Gillett and can get to just about anywhere on the west side. What is your recomendation.

| J.p the southwest shore is an excellent spot to fish right now.Try the west reefs and bays like geano reefs/little tail point amd long tail is a great place to fish for your wall mount right now.Bigones are in the shallows and i like less than 10ft myself and i run spinners 20-35 ft behind board.Spinners w/crawlers colors have changed on what the fish produce on but chartuesse blade with colored mix of chartuess and white beads or orange blade with same colors are good.Some friends have been using copper blades and black /white beads but i'v tried and didnt have any luck.what can i say about the new glass raps except they work!! Best time for me has been before 10am.Hope that helps J.p |

Location: McFarland, WI | Went out to Geano's for the first time Saturday morning. Waited for storm to clean but the trip from Suamico was a rough ride. We followed the guidelines of Pat and Jerry and set up way north of the reef on the point. Marked lots of fish in 23 ft but trolled up to a 6ft point. Nothing happened until we can off the backsi8de into 11-12 feet of water. By now the waves subsided and we had a nice 1 ft chop with light rain. The first board went back with authority and we brought in the first of 5 26-27 inch fish on that 10-12 foot shelf. We also lost two others. Keys for us were 1/2-3/4 oz bottom bouncers, silver #5 blades and various bead colors. We saw another boat that seemed to be catching them on plugs. I am curious as to what plugs and colors work out there at those slow speeds. We tried a couple hot n toots, reef runnere, rip shads, glass shadraps in blues and silvers but only the harnesses were productive. Thanks to Jerry and Pat for the fun day. |

Location: Monona, WI | <p>Here's a report for anyone that's heading out soon. I fished Saturday NE of Oconto near the county park. Started in 7 feet of water pulling harnesses with #5 or #6 purple, white (pearl) or chartruese/white blades. Bead color didn't seem to matter too much. We set outer boards 40'-50' back with just a split shot and put the inner boards out with bottom bouncers set so they rode just over the occasional weed bed we encountered (check you baits periodically). Trolling was with the electric only (love that 74AP w/ Co-Pilot!) and varied speed from 0.5-1.5 mph occasionally 'popping' the boards so the harnesses surge ahead and then flutter down. Triggered a few bites that way. All three colors caught fish, though the chartruese did better early in the morning. The bite died for a while when the wind quit, but they started snapping again around noon when the breeze returned. We moved a bit deeper as the day went on, getting our last few hits over 9 feet. Ended up with just over 30 pounds. Couldn't fill that sixth slot with a big female. Maybe next time.</p><p>Stay away from the other and use you electric. Go slow, then slower. Work areas with some wave action.</p><p>There you go - now go catch some fish!</p> |
