But one does not have more detail than the other. Some units you will be able to run gold it may best to check the Lowrance for software updates and Navionics site to determine what is best for your unit. Upgrade was easy if you have MMC card reader. Download on blank MMC card and put it in the unit. It automatically upgrades the software. Mike, thanks for your help last year on the Lowrances-I upgraded all units and let them know of your assistance. It does in mine, and there is even shading shown for different depths (shown on deeper waters, like Green Bay).
