Very user freindly. I use mine on the boat but also take it hunting, otherwise I would have a GPS/locator combo. I also have the Fishing Hotspots map downloaded into the GPS and this works verywell also. I have 2 Garmin units now and have had 1 lowrance GPS. I personally like the Garmins better.
