I'm heading up to Lake Gogebic in late July on a family vacation, and was wondering what techniques might work for walleyes during the day? Is there a catchable population of Northerns in Gogebic?
Thanks, Clark

I've fished it a few times and you can pick from a number of ways to fish.#1 trolling with boards or without will get fish anywhere out in the center of the lake.If you are a troller use the same as on winnebago. You can fish the many fish cribs located around the lake or the rock bars on the  west side just north of the boat landing. The north end of the lake has most of the weed beds.A hot spots map will be a good investment. And yes the northern get big in this lake thanks to the cisco population.Thats about what I know post a report when you return.

I fish up there quite often as my in-laws live about 20 minutes from the lake. Drop me an e-mail and I will get you plenty of info. Don't want to clog up this message board with all that. [email protected]

Oh, don't worry about clogging up the board. They got some big hard drives!
