Wondering if these can be used on a painted Lund hull safely?

I have used them for years on Lunds. We sell Lund and have a fair number of customers who use the pads, too.
The bunks and rollers on trailers will eventually rub the paint off the bottoms of the boats. So will these pads.
(But, we are talking about the bottom of the boat, here).

First, you may want to try a good quality silicone spray on the bunks. Most guys have pretty good luck this way.Spray it on your bunks when they are dry. However, this way does not work well when you have to launch/load in areas with a lot of duckweed or floating funk.It is like glue when it dries.

The slide pads will mar up and scratch the paint.I do see a lot of bass guys that have these on their trailers.Maybe the main concern on your hull would be the rivet heads? If you do install these, watch that the screws stay tight. The ones I would go with would be the 4" wide ones(spendy). They will cover the bunk in full with proper support.Best if they are made out of teflon.

Yes I do use the Easy Loader slides pads on my Shorelander trailer with a Lund Pro V. Some have said it is hard on rivits and paint. I have been useing this set up for a over a year Power loading and have not seen any problems so far. I do like the way it loads better than carpet!
