| was just curious if anyone knows how much money otterstreet payed out total for this years fishing tournament. from my observation the payout did not change from last year and in the entry form they say that 80% cash payback is guaranteed. Since this year there were more boats in the event was curious as to how much they adjusted the payout. |

| Otter Street ONLY pays out the first 300 teams, any teams entered after that, Otter Street Keeps the money for themselves. |

Location: Campbellsport WI | Where does all the extra money go that they collected for 340 teams? Why do they need to pay down to 75 places? Do you really think the teams below 30th place deserve to get anything? Is this tournament really for fun with a 350 dollar entry fee? |

Location: Appleton wi | Sure why not payout to 60-70th place. It makes otter st. unique. I wouldnt want every tourny to be only paying top 20 or 15 .Gives alot of good fisherman from this area to recoup some expenses.Just my humble opinion |

Location: Rhinelander | 70th out of 340 is a pretty good finish! Since the teams entered in the event were clear on the payout and happy enough to fish the event, I would assume there isn't much controversy here. |

| I would guess next year the entry may be even higher. The tourney gets more boats every year, and I think the only way they can keep the numbers in check is to keep raising the entry fee. It may not seem fair, but it's like anything, supply and demand. However, a bigger payout attracts more entries- kind of a vicious circle. |

| my question was to the fact that they had more teams than ever before and it did not seem that the payout was adjusted. I know that 21 place only collected 550 dollars and that they only payed out to 60th place. If anyone knows if they did adjust the payout please inform us. |

| 32nd place was $500.
I believe there was 346 teams so they pocketed about 15,000. I guess it does go toward a good cause. Sauger reefs, etc. |

| I suggest you take a look at the docking facilities around oshkosh and you will see just how much the club donates to the city, and the kids fishery in August. With all the launch fees going up I want to know where all that money is going. and if you ever went ice fishing on Lake Winnebago who do you think plows all the roads and pays for the bridges. How many times have you driven over a bridge and stuck a buck in the donation cans ? If you want to complain about entery fees look at the PWT and look at how much that cost. You are right that it does pay down a long ways but you fish to win and if you get anything back it just takes the sting out of getting your ass handed to you. |

| Dude, these posts are two years old....simmer down. No one's complaining, people just want to see the results of the tournament.

| 17th place, $550. If you ask me this is a joke. Merc nationals paid $1000 out to 20th place. With 300 boat field and $300 entry. What's with not measuring any fish, with so many small limits this year,it was needed more than ever. It would also would of been nice to see results of this tournament. It is time otterstreet starts acting like a big tourney, instead of a big bar tournament. |

| Michael you have no idea what you are talking about...you did not cash a check you weighed 3 lbs and change for a two day total and the cut-off for a check was 16.60 lbs. they payed down to 60th place.
Why would you lie about that big shot, why dont you tell everyone about the 21,000 you owe merc and they sued you for |

| Mr. Lake winnebago, you are right, nice job on taking 17th place. Bad part is they give you a check for $550, what a slap in the face. This is the reason I stopped fishing this tournament years ago. It is no wonder they do not post the results and the pay out, because they would lose alot of anglers!!!!!! I think people should start to do the math on this tournament. |

Location: Manitowoc WI | If your in it for the money, you picked the wrong sport.. Personaly i would be proud of a top 20 finish, despite pay out. If you dont like it, dont fish it. stop complaining. |

Location: Berlin | Most of the people that fish this tournament year after year don't do it for the fantastic payout. It is their way of contributing to a club that does a ton for the fishery and the people that fish it. If you are just fishing tournaments for the payout percentage than you are not to bright to enter this one. The tournament is a great time and for those that don't donate, it is a great way to give a little back. The best part is you still have a chance to do really well and come away with some money. There should be no explanation needed when examining the differences in payout between Otter Street and the Merc (duh). Otter Street does us all a service and shame on you for critisizing them. The issue of not measuring fish does need to be dealt with though in order to keep the competition fair. |

| 32nd place was not $500 dollars, you were misinformed! |

| You seem to forget who is the main sponsor for the Merc tournyis and that is Mercury Marine and they have alot of dollars compaired to Otter Street . I 've fished this tourny for the last 15 years. My feeling are that the do a great job and the payout what is wrong with it. If you think thing should change join the club and voice your opion at a meeting. Scott P |

I am surprised that the moderators left your personal attack post on this thread. I personally think you are a pretty low creature to attack someone anonymously. Try it in the open with your name attached... you might get more than you ask for... For that matter let me know who you are and maybe I can help straighten you out on some facts...

| I fished this tourney for the first time this year. Best run tourny I have ever been in, not to mention all of the volunteers that put their time in!
Thanks to Otter Street Fishing Club for running a great show! |
