| The bite looks to be fairly tough so far, but a few people are into 'em. |

Location: Midland, MI 48642 | One week ago today the bite was on like you wouldn't believe. That was durning the RCL and many brought in some big baskets. The next day Sunday it started going down hill and its been really hit and miss in most good locations on the bay. Maybe tomorrow will be better for the teams. Most teams caught a few fish during prefishing but man to see 30 teams 0 thats unreal. See what tomorrow brings. Still don't know who is covering the MWC at hoyles. Talked to Chris Gasser and his wife and they aren't. |

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Ditto with what Nel's said.
Heck I know the two MWC guys I took out Monday when we caugth about 22 pounds before 12:00pm would sure have liked to have them fish back for yesterdays weigh-in. But I knew after the N NW blow, starting Wedsnesday night and continuing through Friday Morning, that it was going to put the fish down and turn the bite off. I told as much to my Saturday charter clients on Friday night and they opted to reschedule, and I'm sure they are happy they did. My hat is off to the 12 teams that did manage to catch at least 5 walleyes yesterday. As far as I can tell, the inner Bay was the place to be yesterday. A bud of mine fishing another local tourney yesterday, boated 4 walleyes before 9:30 for about 18 pounds. But never had another bite for the next 4 hours. He was fishing bottom bouncers near the channel around the 5 and 6 bouy. |

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Heres a couple pictures from the weigh-in today. Pete Harsh was the first team to weigh in today and he had a nice bag of walleyes. The MWC stage in all it's majesty. And finally, a picture of MWC pro Rick Larsen in (Pause Mode) after two days of trying to figure out Saginaw Bay and her fickle walleyes.
Actually I want to thank all the MWC guys I both met early this week, had dinner with and chumed around with all week. Along with the guys I met today at the weigh-in that recognized my massive form and took the time to just say hi to me. To bad there can only be one first place, as all these guys are both good sports and great fishermen in my eyes.
Big fish of the tourney was 11 pounds and some change, caught on day one. Today was 9.2 by the Vanderwiede team who grabbed the brass ring with 37 plus pounds today for a stunning come from behind victory.

Location: Midland, MI 48642 | What a day! What 2 days I should say. The MWC really puts on a show. The fisherman are all so professional, just unreal. I met so many great guys & Gals this weekend. Sure nice to met you all. Even though the bite was mainly OFFFFFFFF to say the least I hope you had a good time here on the Saginaw Bay. I had a great time talking with many and fishing with a few. Learned some tricks on my home waters. I hope the MWC comes back someday. I had product samples in my truck to give to who ever wanted them but got stuck at the mouth of the channel both days checking in boats so wasn't able to get around during the tourney like I planned to. Checking in boats I feel like I missed the whole weigh in both days. Bummer! Hope to talk again someday to all of you. Nels/ aka Skeeter
