Lot's of Walleye's again today, we know that after the days' fishing with Frank Schultz and son-in-law Steve (correction, brother-in-law) from Grand Rapids, Michigan its all about fun!!!!!!!!! Lost count after 40 Walleyes' in the boat and catching 9 eating size fish it was a day Steve will remember for a long, long time.
Water depths from again 15 feet to shallows too 4 feet, surface temps. running mid 60' and winds from early morning out of the north to south winds kicking up a bit putting the feed bag on these fish.
"Gulp" Berkley "Gulp" nothing more to say it really works and while using regular crawlers as indeed they work when getting strikes its almost certain live bait will be torn off, dropping on a strike and missed fish generally he'll come back for a second and setting the hook into some fun action!
Presentations and we used boat control working breaklines and after lunch used an anchor approach letting those fish work to us by "fan-casting" big radius circles around us while letting out more and more anchor rope!
Frank and Steve had the time of their lives, good conversations and thinking how very greatful we really are.
Ester, sure missed your company on the boat today and soon knowing we'll share the boat also again soon!
Well winds are kicking up a pretty good storm that coming in tonight but looking forward to another day on the water tomorrow,
Some other notes and good friends Duane Bucklin, son Wayne and Bill (alias the Muffin Man) caught also some nice Walleye today using similar presentations.
Mr. Bucklins' presentation consisted of using Walleye's Choice white floating jighead with the 3" "gulp" worm.
Almost bedtime fisherman as this guy has had a great day on one Great Body of water, Little Bay de Noc!
Good nite and we'll be seeing you tomorrow,
P.S. We want to also say congrats to all those fishing this past weekends tournament!
Here are the smiling faces of Frank, Steve and myself on some fun fishing;
