| I've been home for a couple weeks now nursing an injured ankle, and spend alot of time "surfing" the web so as to keep my mind off all the walleyes I should be abusing, and this site has been DEAD!
Where has everyone gone? Seriously! I think there have been fewer than 10 posts on this board in the last 2-3 days, and most of them are guessing the winning weight for the PWT Championship.
Hope things liven up around here soon, or I'm going to start posting on here about how great the VIKINGS are!!!
P.S. The Pack looked pretty good last night too! |

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | I noticed it to Jack. To speak for myself, I'ts kinda inbetween seasons for good walleye fishing around here right now. Had the big boat pulled today for the summer season and waiting on the river bite to start. Might be the same in a lot of places, can't say. Hoping to make a long weekend to Huron Ohio in Late October to early November for my annual (monster walleye) fix. A lot depends on the weather patterns and the bite reports.
Hoping to get you and Rick to come over for a day or two this winter on the ice. |

| I'll do everything within my power to get over there. You'll just have to give me a little bit of a notice so I can make arrangements at work.
Even though I haven't been out lately, I know that our bite is changing over now also. Mostly a night bite now for 'eyes, unless you have a good wind, and then you can still pull a few during the day. Perch, from what I've been told are doing pretty good though, during the day. |

Location: Rhinelander | WalleyeFIRST is actually VERY busy, driven by the daily news and information provided on the front page, the Tournament coverage, Video library, photo library, and much more. Most folks come here to read, much like a daily newspaper. Notice we stick to fishing topics here (mostly) and will continue to do just that. The message board traffic will increase as folks get 'comfortable' here, and WalleyeFIRST will continue to focus site-wide on the Walleye news and events of the day.
Football? Be careful or we will get Slamr over here to moderate from MuskieFIRST. He is MERCILESS!!!

| Yes Steve you guys are very busy! But the "comfort" level you speak of seems to be disipating rather than increasing. Why is that?
Good Luck

Location: Rhinelander | I would disagree, Tyee. We are consistently picking up several new members every week and traffic increases every day. As I stated, folks posting to the board will increase. |

| I love to fish, but I love to hunt (especially bowhunt) even more. I know my walleye stuff has been put away to make room for bowhunting and ice fishing. I doubt I'm the only one.......Dave S |

Location: Waukesha Wisconsin | Jack,
I see it slow all over the net. I'll guess that many do what I do in the warm weather months............. They come hear to read the updated news and check the fishing reports and get back on the water. I come here a lot but post very little in the summer. No time with guiding and tournaments.
Long dialogues and in-depth conversations about fine tuning techniques will always be saved for the cold water months. If we're not fishing we're talking about fishing.
The one thing that I have NOT missed is the bashing or nonsense that always seems to come along during a long winter. I've noticed no nonsense posts of late.
By the way, the Vikings will be beat on Monday night. Wanna bet a beer?

| Thanks Steve, As always when differing opinions are posted the activity increases. As long as they are constructive in nature I would think the WF family would respect them and encourage them! With the Championship only days away, we are anxiously awaiting some more of that awesome coverage!
Good Luck

| Dennis, you know I can't bet against my team, but I'll be honest with you, I'm more than a little concerned about the outcome! We gave up over 400 yards to a team who's QB is as mobile as a road kill last week, and now we face McNabb. NOT GOOD!! |

Location: Northern Illinois | Could it be we are in a slow period because; the MWC Leech is pre-fishing now, PWT and RCL all have big events in the next 2 weeks, and no one is talking? Or that some guys are transitioning to hunting? Or that fishing in some areas/summer is slow now? Or, like me, some guys are taking a short breather before the big wally are targeted over the next few weeks? I don't think it is content, but seasonal timing.
Anyway, I am reading lots of stuff off the WF front page, and enjoying it! mike |
