Well, the day my family dreaded has arrived. My father-in-law, my son's mentor, has been given orders that he will be deploying to Iraq in a few days. This man is a dedicated soldier that has served his country and our freedom since the Vietnam era. As an enlisted man, he was a Huey helicopter pilot and unfortunately was shot down in action, earning a purple heart. He still has shrapnel in his leg to this day. Since then, he has been an active pilot in the army and national guard reserves, serving in the Persian Gulf war and in Bosnia as a member of the UN forces hunting down Milosovich's henchmen. Very recently he had the honor of flying cover for the President during a local visit. Outside the military, he is a retired steel worker, a Macomb County Sheriff reserve, and volunteers his time to drive cancer and disease-stricken children in the Shriner bus. I don't get emotional too often, but tonight I did shed a tear and pray to God for his safe return. This is a man that we should all be proud of and be glad to have on our side. PLEASE pray for him and wish him the best.
Thank you,

Jim Celerglerski

You should be proud that you have the honor of knowing a REAL LIFE HERO.

Wish I knew the man myself.

Next time you see him, please shake his hand and thank him from all of us.

As a retired medically vet myself and one that has lost 2 family members to Iraq and Afghanistan since 9-11 I will add him to my pray list of family and friends serving their.

When serving I saw infestation and poor living areas of individaul families. This is a site you never forgot and with his history he too can relate and for that he sounds that he has tried to give back and try to make life for all better place for all men. Your Father In Law sounds to be a great man,
