Location: Rhinelander | Anyone else fish the deep weedline just at dark after the lakes turn, and just before the ice forms? I spank them pretty good at sunset to about two hours after dark using plastics and larger than normal jigs. I am REALLY looking forward to late October to get back on the big 'eyes.
I fish Minocqua, Pelican, and like bodies of water that hold the green cabbage using this pattern, and do very well with fish from 20" to 29". I am sure this will work well across the country, but haven't heard of the technique being used out of this area. I did try it on Bay De Noc a couple yaers ago, and did very well.
Anyone else on this pattern late in the year? | |

Location: Annandale, MN | Steve...no need to wait! Pics from last night on a weedy central MN lake. We caught pike, bass, crappies and walleyes pulling cranks. We didn't pitch plastics though...not sure if that would have worked last night. Nav
