| Any reports from the Quad Cities? I'll be talking with wolf walleye and the Posse tonight to see what is going on, and get a feel for how the bite has been.
Good luck to wolf walleye, Ranger Pat, Juls, and any WFer's I failed to mention. Not sure who all is in it. |

| The McQuoids fished down there 2 weeks ago or so with a guide. Fished 2 days with him and caught 4 fish. Biggest was 22" and the guide wanted to take a picture because it was such a nice fish for that area. Sounded kinda scary to me. I hope they find the key to those fish so it is a tight tourney. I'm not to fond of a tourney when 1 person just walks away with it from the start. Maybe all that rain we got 7-10 days ago will have brought the river up some. |

Location: Northern Illinois | 22" is NOT a big fish down there, so as to ease your concerns. There is plenty of slot fish and depending upon what pool that guide took them to. There have been tough conditions there the past 5-10 days, so finding quality fish has been tough. Finding above slot even more difficult. But 22", not big for any of those pools - no way. WM |

Location: Chicago IL. | Mike is right. I hope they did not pay alot for the guide. The river has come up and there is alot of grass. People that adapt will do better. 22" walleye is average on the river this year in those pools. Blame mother nature for the bad weights not the area.

| The fishing has improved a lot over the last 3 days with most of the fish being caught up river. Water is cleaner and not as many weeds as down south, although the bigger fish we've caught have been down south. Good luck to all!!! Should be a close race!

| Thanks Shep! Unfortunately, I caught a lot of fish, but they were too small to weigh in (14 1/2, 14 3/4 lol)...leaving me with 4 fish for two days and a weight of 6+ pounds. Good enough for 61st place. I'm happy with that.
The good news is my hubby, Rick LaCourse, has made the top 12 cut, so I'm root'n for him tomorrow, and hopefully on Saturday too!!!! A cold front is scheduled in this area tomorrow night. It won't effect tomorrows fishing, but it could make Sat. an even tougher bite than what we have been dealing with here the past two weeks. With the areas having less fishing pressure, the boys should all do pretty good!
GO BIGFOOT!!!!!!!!!! GO BIGFOOT!!!!!! GO BIGFOOT!!!!!!
