I like longer rods than most people for jigging (seems like you do too). Most people seem to prefer around 6 foot, but I like 7 to 7 1/2 St. Croix medium to medium light Avids. |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | 6'3" St Croix Legend Elite for jigging, 7' St Croix for rigging. Can't beat the St. Croix sticks for sensitivity...;) |

| Mirro, As the season winds down there "should" be more input on these boards, Personally I like the Loomis but Dennis is right those Croixs are a darn good stick too. I like a 6-0" to 6'-6" rod for jiggin. I find them more comfortable for shallow river fishing when your tryin to get in tight to the treeline. There's nothing like a super light rod to keep your rist from getting sore after a 12 hour day doin vertical!
Good Luck

I have used Fenwicks, Berkleys and now focus on St. Croix Rods. I have used the Avid Series for last 3 years I love the life time warrenty and feel you get with this rod. I Jig with a 6.3 foot rod and crank with a 6.9 hotshot 1 piece rod.
Just recently and before I went to the RCL Championship I passed through Park Fall, WI and home of ST Croix rods. When thier I picked up the new Tournment series rod and because of the feel of this new rod I have choosen to recycle all my old AVIDS to this new series. I feel that this rod is just as good as the old Legend elite blank but $100 cheaper. I will have the following sizes in my boat for 2005 6.3, 6.6 and 6.9.
Like I have done before and will always do if you live in Wisconsin and wish to fish a day call me and lets go. When you fish with a St Croix you will want to have one for your self.

Location: Rhinelander | I use a 6 1/2' MH IM8 Aurora for my favorite jigging stick and the 7' for rigging or casting cranks. They don't make them anymore, which is too bad. Nice stick for about $35. |
