Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | I hope this doesn't come off as politically incorrect. But, Merry Christmas everybody.
Heres a poem I wrote a couple years ago, and always post it before Christmas for everyone who wants to, to read. Read it in the same manner and tempo as you would "The night before Christmas" Enjoy.
“Twas the night before Christmas and all across the Bay”
“The shantys were lit up from guys wanting to stay”
“The Tip-Ups were set out and poised very near”
“It’s (Fish-On) us anglers were waiting to hear”
“My Do-Jigger had settled, and my arm started to ache”
“As a thick band of Red appeared on the OL'FL8”
“My pulse had quickened, and my hands started to shake”
“As I sat almost motionless, while awaiting the take”
“With the first twitch of the rod tip, and a snap of the wrist”
“I drove home the sharp trebels, in the lips of the fish”
“His struggle was valliant, with violent bends in the pole”
“But with slow steady pressure, I worked him into the hole”
“His girth was impressive, His length 30 or so”
“My buddy went crazy, when I said (I think I’m letting him go)”
“Some things need explaining, others fall into place”
“I had to say something, from the look on his face”
“Think of this buddy, before we call it a night”
“Tomorrows Gods birthday, and I want to start it off right”
“I’ve caught pleanty of walleyes, and taken home my share”
“I’m giving this one back to him, it would only be fair”
“So down into the hole, and under the ice”
“Now swim away, swim away, and give someone else a good fight”
Capt: Dan.

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Well, yes and no.
My report cards from school were always a contradiction in understanding. Never did one child receive some many A's and F's on the same card as I did. If I liked the subject I immersed myself into it. If I didn't, well I didn't. Poetry always held what I considered a fascination to me as well as art. Modern poetry I also liked, but never practiced.

Location: Westland, MI. | Hi Capt. Dan, That's a real nice poem. I wish you and your Family a very Merry and Happy Christmas and New Year. Don't forget, let's have us an ice fishing date ( the good Lord willing, we'll have safe ice this year) sometime this winter. Take care, My Friend, Bo

I thought you had fallen off the earth. I tried to contact you a few time via E-mail. Was even going to call Cecil to see if something happened to you. Truthfully though, I didn't try your home number again, after I got a couple of busy signals. Is your active E-mail the one above on your post? And happy holidays to you Bo.

Location: Westland, MI. | Hi Capt. Dan, No, I have not fallen off the end of the earth. I've been very busy trying to get my new walleye tournament trail off the ground. Got a chance to go deer hunting in Michigan's Northern Upper and the deer are safe for another year. Yes, my e-mail is [email protected] You can, also, reach me @ 734-891-1001 and, I believe, you, also, have my home number. give me a jing-a-ling sometime, Bo
