Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | After reading John Mannerino's report of his Florida Guide backing out, because of that frigid 60 degree weather they were having. I thought it would be neat for us all to post a few (Hard Core) (Manly Men) fishing pictures for John to e-mail off to this thin skinned rookie.

| Here's one day from last year, November 2003. It was 18 degrees when Lauren, 7 at the time, and I launched. When she caught these fish, it was a balmy 25!

Location: Essexville, MI./Saginaw Bay. | Yo Shep.
E-mail me those pictures and I'll downsize them and send them back to you. I can count the pores in your daughters face in the ones you downloaded.
Thats the only thing I wish this site would change, is the way it shows downloaded pictures. I like the idea you can load them directly off your PC, but they seem to load a lot faster on other boards, where you have to use a URL address. Of course those you have to have a home addy for with your pictures. No easy remedy huh?

I wasn't insulting his little girl. Don't think it came across that way, did it? Sheps pictures are indeed WAY bigger on my screen that the others are.

Having fished the Florida coast, and Islamorada area for over 20 years,I can say that a drop in temp of that magnitude, will shut off fish faster than a N.E. wind on bago. Perhaps the guide is just looking out for his well being, and not just after the buck. I've done the same thing here...hafe |

You may be better off sponsoring the kids in those Musky tourneys Shep. LMAO!
Shep give me a call, I'm getting info for an ice outing to either LOTW or Saginaw Bay. Or we could "INVADE" Jack's house & fish Mille Lacs.
Guys have shanties on the Fox below Depere Dam for a week now.
See Ya, Pat |

Hafe.
I agree. But in those casses, I'd be honest and up-front with the client, and historically explain the fishing options given those conditions. Especially when the client comes from 800+ plus miles away. Then (if it was safe) and he still wanted to go out, we'd go. Those are the clients that appreciate your honesty and effort, even if you don't catch fish. |

Location: Chicago IL. | What I was told is its to cold and he didnt want to hurt his equipment. There was other people going out and getting grouper and snook. ( I was watching then at the docks) All other guides and boats were booked. Thats what pissed me off. Oh well, some other time. I was partying on the beach with the Wis. Badgers at a beach party for the outback bowl. For all the wis boys the band kicked georgia's ass. Im going to email these pictures to him.

I'll give you a shout this afternoon. I'm headed up to Minoqua for the annual pike outing. I hope to get one over 40 this year! |
