| I am looking for a group of people that contain numerous generations of spearers (ie; grandpa, son, grandson or grand daughter etc) I have been given an assignment by Dean Bortz of Wisconsin Ooutdoor News to cover the Sturgeon spearing season this year and want to add some storyline to it. Need to cover some different angles, old spears, things used to attract sturgeon, traditional things, whatever someone who does this year after year would have to say. If you have something interesting to share or would consider being interviewed that weekend please contact me at [email protected] or leave a message in my inbox here on Walleye First. I appreciate it. |

Location: Kaukauna,WI | Hey Doc, You can try Shawn Wendt at Wendt's on the Lake. Shawn comes from a big family of spearers. He also rents out many shacks for spearing. I spear as well, but don't come from a big family of spearers. Shawn's # at Wendt's is 920-688-5231 he would be happy to help and has been interviewed many times by several newspapers and TV stations about the topic. Let me know if you need anything else. 766-5412 |

Location: Manitowoc, WI | Doc,
Another good source would be our good friend Lumpy here from WalleyeFIRST. I know he's a spearer, as are members of his family. |

| Sorry Doc I would have chimed in with MY relatives but no one wants to read about the amount of alcohol that will be consumed in this one day event this year!
Good Luck
