I was just wondering if any of you saw the new show The Next Bite on the Outdoor Channel this week?? I thought it was the best fishing show i have ever seen. Not only was it extremely informational, but also fun to watch. Parsons, Kavajecz, and Maina did a great job and ill definetly be tuned in every week. I watched it at 9:30 on Thursday and I think its on two more times during the week. Just wanted to see what others thought of it, and if you didn't see it to let you know about it.

Yup. Watched it Thusday night at 10:30pm on the Outdoor Channel. Went to the NB site after the show and posted this.

Just finished watching episode #1 guys, and I'm giving it a 9.0. And that ain't bad, considering I don't even muskie fish. I especially liked a few things in the show.

I got a kick out of the ergonomic rods you guys were casting with. Never seen such padded reel seats on anything but those monster sea reels they use for Marlin.

I liked it when Gary kinda stabbed at Petes 53 incher with the net. Man Gary, I wonder if it would have been edited out, if you would have knocked that monster off? I know there would have been a lot of beeping in that film segment if it had been mine. Good to see even Pro's can still get excited and shaken a bit by a big fish.

And finally the realism. The off the collar remarks that really show that your not only working but having a good time. If the rest of the show are half as good, you guys got a quality show.

Actually the only reason I went for the fish was because of Kavajecz's constant background chirping of "GET IT...GET IT" I really didn't think it was positioned properly to get all the way in the net and thats why it was kind of a half hearted attempt. I was watching her head and hooks and for sure Pete was ready for a run, so it didn't hurt anything. Thankfully. I'm sure it wouldn't have got edited if I blew it completely, because those guys would have revelled in the fact that they could rib me for the rest of my life on national TV. I'll have to learn how to block out Kavajecz and concentrate a little more on the matter at hand! I have to say it was an awesome trip and some awesome fish. Hope you all watch and tell your friends...we've got some good walleye and pike shows along with some more great musky pieces. We also try to do the best job possible in showing structure, electronics and the technique and boat positioning tricks to help with your future trips. Thanks again for the great comments.

Hiya Gary!

Actually, things like the quality info as well as the net job are what makes the show so real, if ya know what I mean. It is great to see good fish, good fishing and friends having fun.........

Looks like you guys had a blast!

Great show! Really good camera work. Best was the shot of theat pig that got off. That was a huge fish!

I have it scheduled on my DVR to record every week. Can't wait for the eye segments.

Now, any chance of doing the show in HD? hehehe That would be awesome!
