Well Boys,

It looks like we can play on each others emotions one more time this year. Wisconsinites get to beat up on our neighbors to the North one more time.

Jack, you were wrong, you said that the vikings and/or the packers were one and out teams. One of them has to advance. Obviously it will be the Packers. Anyone know, when was the last time that WE beat THEM 3 times in one season?

I don't think either team has swept three games in a season, or even had the chance to.

I do know that we have swept you guys twice in a season MANY more time than you have, or ever will !! Thats not smack, thats just FACT!!!

Jack have you been watching you're Queens this year???? What would ever make you think that they could beat anyone that has a winning record?? This is the worst team they have had in years! You have the best 3 yard passer in the league,YAC yards are where he gets all the yards he throws for. Daunte cant see open guys down field to save his life!

Final: Packers 31 Vikes 20

Sorry Jack I'm forced to watch them every week here in MPLS and they cant win with those lazy guys!!! NICE route Randy!!! lmao

Hey Jack,

Hate to prove your wild guess wrong but with the Packers sweep of the Vikequeens this year- the Packers have swept the Vikings 12 times (13 if you count the short 1982 season with one meeting). Vikequeens have 11 season sweeps. This will be the first playoff matchup between the teams and Mike Sherman has swept the Queens twice and owns a 7-3 record against them.

Perchie,

I don't think either team has ever swept three times in a season before.

So this will be the first time come Sunday.

Hope your team gives you guys a good run, because my team sure as heck isn't!!

"What would ever make you think that they could beat anyone that has a winning record??

And which team with a winning record did the Packers beat this season? At least MN beat Jacksonville (9-7). Even Detroit beat a team with a winning record (Atlanta) and Chicago beat Green Bay. From here, it looks like the Packers are the ONLY team in the NFC north that didn't beat a team with a winning record....

Actually, Philly beat teams with winning records, Atlanta beat teams with winning records, Minnesota did, Seattle did, and so did St. Louis. So GB is the only team in the NFC playoffs that DIDN'T BEAT A TEAM WITH A WINNING RECORD. Could prolly expand that to include the AFC, but I think you get my point.

Both teams are pretty weak, but they have earned the right to play again.

It is funny every year the Vike fans have some kind of come back. So now it is the Packers didn't beat a team with a winning a record. Your right, we did not and we only played 3 teams that had winning records going 0-3 but we are 2-1 vs the other five teams in the NFC playoffs. We could have said we had two wins against teams with winning records if your purple team didn't go 3-7 down the stretch for the second year in a row. But then would have given the Seahawks and Eagles a second win vs winning teams as well. So here are the stats for you for the wins for the six playoffs teams in NFC. Put it into this perspective as to the teams in the playoffs and you can see it is anyone's game except maybe the purple. Thanks for reiterating my stats Sunshine.

Eagles (1-0) beat the Packers
Falcons (1-1) beat Rams, lost to Seahawks (played their JV squad)
Packers (2-1) beat Rams, Vikes (twice) and lost to Eagles
Seahawks (1-2) lost to Rams (twice) and beat Falcons (JV team)
Rams (2-1) beat Seahawks (twice), lost to Packers
Vikes (0-3) lost to Packers (twice), Seahawks, Eagles

Brad B,

The Vikings and Lions both were leading the division and had winning records when the Packers beat them. Not the Packer's fault that they couldn't maintain these winning records. Take a chill pill, dude. No need to type in CAPS.

Just making a point and having a little fun. I wasn't yelling and didn't mean to get anyone's dander up.

I'd gladly swap the my Lion's win against Atlanta and their spot on the couch for the Packer's 10-6 mark and the number 3 seed in the playoffs.

This cracks me up....i just wonder if some of you viking and bears fan ever think about what you say or atleast think about what you say after the fact and show alittle self pride and retract some of your dumb comments. Why is it that you dont see any packers fans ranting and raving on here until provoked? You remind me of my 9-7y.o boys fighting with each other.Us packer fans take a constant bashing year after year cause we sit at the top or near and finish with a .500 or better record and to hear something like "i'd take our win over atlanta anytime than your 10-6 record and a 3rd seed " dude wake up and get a clue! Its a 16 game season ....oh yeah except when your playoffs . Sorry i just couldnt keep my mouth shut about this any longer and just had to share my opinion! Go Packers

What dumb comments?

Rationalize the Packer season however you want. They got creamed by the few good teams they played this year. Its football. Don't take this so serious. Dennis was obviously just having fun when he started the thread.... why can't you guys take this as the good humored joking that its intended for?

And my 9 and 7 year olds don't fight.

Brad,

You are right, I started this thread to have a little fun. I hope people do not fight over it.

Please remember however, that for some people Packer Football is more important than Religion! Or it is their Religion!

As a Packer Fan I'm happy and proud that they are division champs (again) and have made the playoffs. There will be NO asteric next to their record in the record books that say: "Yea, but they played weak teams or were in a weak division".

Our season is not over and that makes all Wisconsinites happy at least for another week. Let us have our fun while it lasts. We all know it can end very soon. Of course we hope that the Vikings self-destruct just one more time but we fear that they are capable of beating us on any given Sunday.

There isn't an NFC team that I'd put my money on!

I honestly think the "true" championship game will be Pittsburg and Indy in the AFC title game. Those two teams are the class of the league this year.

Or what often happens Jack is that those two teams will beat themselves up so bad that when they meet the lowly Packers (I'm still hoping) in the Super Bowl, they end up loosing because they are missing too many key personnel or just can't produce. The team who wins is often the team who can stay the healthiest and Holmgren and Sherman have a good track record in this regard.

I don't see Indy in the AFC game. They have no defense. Worse than the packers, I think. More like a New England/Pittsburgh rematch. That will be a real slugfest. Two great defenses, two great game coaches, two very good running teams, and two pretty good young QB's.

But I still think the Pack can do some damage. Biggest concern is the poor tackling. If they can solve that, they may have as good a shot as any NFC team. But then again, I think it is hard to beat a team 3 times in one season. It all depends on how fast a start we can get, and then run the ball!

Dateline 1-04-05 Kansas City, Kansas
Custody Battle Ruling

A seven year old Kansas City boy was at the center of a courtroom drama this morning when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of the boy.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge awarded custody to his aunt.
The boy confirmed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and refused to live there. When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents the boy cried out that they beat him more than anyone.
The judge dramatically allowed the boy to choose who should have custody of him.
Custody was granted to the Minnesota Vikings this morning as the boy firmly believes that they are not capable of beating anyone.

Okay Jack,

Remember that you started with the jokes!!!

Here are a few sent to me by Lund Dude and modified just a little:

Q: Why do the trees in Wisconsin lean to the south?
A: Because Minnesota blows and Chicago sucks.

Q: What is the difference between a Viking fan and a baby?
A: The baby will stop whining after awhile.

Q: What do you call a male Viking fan in a room full of beautiful women?
A: Invisible.

Q: What do Viking fans miss most about a great party?
A: The invitation.

Q: What's the difference between Cheerios and the Vikings?
A: Cheerios belong in a bowl.

Q: Why can't a Viking fan get into his own driveway?
A: Someone painted an end zone on it.

Q: What do you call a sober Viking fan?
A: A liar.

Q: Why is the Vikings quarterback unable to answer a telephone?
A: He can't find the receiver.

Q: What's the difference between a dead Packer fan lying in the road and a dead Vikings fan lying in the road?
A: There are skid marks in front of the Packer fan.

Q: Why wasn't Jesus born in Minnesota?
A: Because God couldn't find three wise men.

Q: What do you call it when a Viking fan wears green and gold?
A: Artificial intelligence.

Q: Why did Randy Moss get so excited after he finished his jigsaw puzzle in only 6 months?
A: Because on the box it said 2-4 years.

Q: Did you hear about the fire at the Vikings library facilities?
A: Both books were burned, and one of them had not even been colored in yet.

Q: Why is it a good idea to bring a Viking fan along to a Packer game?
A: You can park in the handicap zone.

Q: How many people does it take to change a light bulb at the Metro Dome?
A: Three. One to change it and two to talk about how good the old one was.

Q: Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, a dumb Viking fan, and a smart Viking fan are walking down the street when they spot a $10 bill. Who picks it up?
A: None of them. There is no such thing as Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, or a smart Viking fan...and the dumb Viking fan thought is was a gum wrapper.
