What happened to the winter?? I haven't hardly even been ice fishing yet, and Spring Valley is just a couple months away. Everyone ready for open water?

My partner (Mike Potanic) is fishing the IWT with a sub. I have to be in Genoa WI. for the WAT(Partner Mark Micheals) that weekend. That`s what I love about the IWT,you can have a sub. That works out great when you have to fish 3 trails with 2 partners on rivers with March and April so busy. Looking foward to meeting you (jigger).

I think most of us are chomping at the bit, waiting for this ice garbage to go away. My first event isn't till May this year, as I'll be working another (hopefully my last) refueling outage in April. Can't wat till De Pere opens up so we can start chasing those pigs in the river!!!

Living in Illinois, it's great to be able to plan on soft water in the later part of February. Shake the cob-webs, get the feel going, get an early jump for a fun year ahead. Now if only we don't hit continuous flood conditions due to all this snow! Mike

Because of expenses of a new house, a new puppy, and a job relocation with a lengthy commute, I have basically been out of commission fishing for the last 3 years...

Now that I am back after this absense...yes, I am ready for the open water...
