Location: Appleton WI | I was wondering how the hm85 graphite BPS rod compares to scII-scIV graphite rods made by St Croix. I am getting a new rod this year and love the BPS rod that I bought last year but I can't decide if I want to get another or try a different rod. My dad and I probably are going to go to St Croix this summer and I wanted to know how the graphite compares the the BPS rods.

Location: Rhinelander | Most rods in the medium to medium/upper quality bracket are pretty similar these days. I still use the age old test, put your reel on the rod and see how it feels in the hands, that is the ONLY way to be sure it 'fits'. GMG, any insights? | |
