MWC Dates Are Odd?

Confused??? Posted 2/5/2005 5:03 PM (#27254) Subject: MWC Dates Are Odd? Anybody know why the heck the MWC moved its championship from mid-October to the same days the FLW Championship is being held? Makes no sense. Why would they want to lose any coverage by going heads up with the FLW? It is a shame. I wanted to check them out this year, but since they are doing this I will miss them while I am in Moline. The FLW guys seem like they have kept their tournament dates pretty much the same since they started. A couple of years ago the FLW Bass guys moved their championship date and it conflicted with the Bassmaster Classic. The FLW moved it to another date. It seems like the big organizations attempt not to interfere with each others championships. Makes sense for all involved. Too bad for the MWC. With the FLW changing over to the top 50 ranked FLW Walleye Tour pros the media attention is sure to almost exclusively be at the FLW Championship. It will be the place to be in the walleye tournament world on those dates. It is a shame. No reason for the MWC to butt heads with the FLW.
