Location: Manitowoc, WI | This being the boat and sport show season, along with many of us rigging our boats and others looking to buy, I thought it would be helpful to start some posts in regards to the different motor brands that are available. In a short paragraph or two, tell us what you like about your Yamaha.

Location: Manitowoc, WI | My current boat, a Crestliner TS202, is equipped with a Yamaha 225 4 stroke and a T-8 4 stroke kicker. These motors are super smooth and can always be counyted upon too work. The only time I ever had any problems with either is, in the extreme cold, the T-8 would start very hard. Otherwise, I can't say enough positive things about them. I never had the opportunity to deal with a dealer, warranty dept., or pro staff individuals, so I haven't anything to relay in regards to them.

Location: Kaukauna WI | The last rig I had for 14 years was powered by a 50HP Yamaha. Never had a bit of trouble the whole time. So last June when I got my new boat, it was an easy decision as to what to power it with. Went with the F115 four stroke, and so far am not disappointed. I can troll slow enough to pull cranks but need to drag a 24" drift sock. But last fall I read some posts in this forum about the F115 "making oil" especially at slow speeds. I don't want any part of that, so I went out and bought a F6 kicker. I'll be better off anyway, now I can troll slow enough even for harnesses or cranks. Have'nt run it yet but I know it will be great!!!!

| As a dealer, I like Yamahas because they cause us very little grief on monday mornings.
When the weekend is over and we come back to work monday morning,... and we see all those broke down boats sitting in the lot....that got dropped off over the weekend....and the phone starts ringing with tales of woe....very, very few of the telephone calls are ever from Yamaha owners.
I like that.
